Allmightie God doe heare ordaine make this my last will
and testament upon the eighteenth day of May and in the
yeare of our Lord God one thousand sixe hundred thirty and
seaven in manner and forme as followeth/ Imprimis I give
and beequeath my soule to Allmighty God my maker and my
body to the earth to bee buried within the churchyard of
Tadmarton aforesaid. Item I give unto my sonne William

Robert Gunne was born in about 1535 of Tadmarton, likely the
son of William Gunne. Robert married first, Elizabeth Hall
20 September 1556 in Tadmarton.
Elizabeth must have died, and Robert married Margaret
Petifer 24 November 1558 in Tadmarton.

Margett and Elen my daughters to each of them a
breeder of ij yeres, xij shepe, iij platters, iij
sawcers, a brassepott, ij quarters of barly, a
mattresse, a blanket, a coverlet, iij payre of sheetes
to be delivered at their several days of mariage. And
if anie of my sayd children shall decease before their
sayd day of mariage, then the portions of her or them
so deceasing to be devided queally between the

William Gunne signed the parish register as a
churchwarden from the very beginning of the register in
1548. He is likely Robert's father. William continued to
be a churchwarden for many years in the late 1500s until
1597.
