Withington muster roll

John Deeme was born in about 1550, so it is likely that one of the 26 listed men was his father. The muster roll lists John Deme and James Denne. The town had four pair of harnes (body armor), four horses, five bows, four gleifs (lances), three salets (helmets), four pair of splints (plates of armor for the protection of the inside arm), four spears, and six daggers. Either John or James could be John's father.
