part in Selkirkshire. It is bounded by Eddlestone, Innerleithen, Traquair,
Yarrow, Manor, Stobo, and Lyne. Its length southward is 10 miles; and its
greatest breadth is 6 miles ... Population of the entire parish in 1831,
