The Hill Richardson to Rufus Richardson Connection

Al thought nothing has been proven at this stage. I found it interesting that some of the items between Hill Richardson (and his family) and Rufus Richardson (and his family) seem to be "connected".

Rufus Movement:

Rufus first shows up   born 21 Sept 1760
Medway, Mass. Parents David and Jemima Smith.

Rufus' father moves the family to Barre, Mass where he marries Ruth Holde of Barre.

After 1787 (birth of their first daughter) Rufus and Ruth move to Rutland, VT

Some time between 1800 and 1810 Rufus moves to Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY.

By 1820 his son Freeman moves to Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., NY. I think Rufus is with him also.

By 1830, Rufus is on the census as being in Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., NY

Hill's Movements:

First show in 1800 in Otsego (Cooperstown) Otsego Co., NY (with in-laws) from Lebanon, CT

By 1810 he moves to Ellisburg, Jefferson, NY

By 1830, Hill has moved to Stockton, Chautauqua Co., NY

Rufus Richardson had a son names Freeman Richardson b.1791. Hill had a son Freeman b 1802 (maybe named after Rufus' son Freeman

Rufus had another son named Rufus Hill Richardson. (maybe named after Hill)

Hill moved quite a distance across New York to live near Rufus Richardson. Coincidence?

Rufus' son Freeman served in the same platoon as Hill Richardson in the War of 1812. Freeman being a Corporal and Hill a Private.
