Resource Materials and Censuses

The "census" are really called "Revision Lists". They are the same thing as a census except for what they were originally used for.

1767 First Settlers List of Leichtling

1798 Village Census Records (Leichtling)
For sale at the AHSGR store at   http://www.ahsgr.org/store
Cost: $25.00 US

I have the 1798 census (copy of originals) and a translation, but I have not compiled them yet. There really is no point as the AHSGR has this already done and I am not interested in taking away their revenue for their hard work.

1834 Village Census Records (Leichtling)
Translated, compiled, and indexed. Includes a cross reference index to the 1767, 1798, and 1850 census. (cross reference will allow easier following of families from one census to another).

For hard copies contact Darryl Boyd  (see email address below)

If you find your ancestors and would like to see the what the original looked like, I can send you a copy of that census page. You will be able to see your ancestors on the original form with the Russian spellings. You will need the "Family #" on the left.

They were translated by Angela Gartner and compiled and indexed by Darryl Boyd. Angela also cross referenced the families from one census to another making it much easier to follow your families.

A word about Copyright

A lot of time and money went into purchasing, translating, compiling, and publishing these records. If you use them in your research, please remember they are copyrighted and you are free to use them in your personal studies. You are not allowed to make copies and distribute them in any fashion (or in part) including printed or digital. If someone wants them, please refer them to this webpage. If you want to use a "part" of them in a document that will be distributed, please contact me for permission first. That is all I request.....no cash!

Thank you for your respect and have fun!
